OCCUPATION: 9-to-5 M-F: Assistant in financial aid department at an art college. All other hours: Dreamer and doer of absolutely anything not related to financial aid. Formerly: Elementary art teacher
LOCATION: Physically: Pasadena, CA. Mentally: All over the map and in the clouds.
WHAT’S YOUR HUSTLE: My hustle is to keep in touch with my inner child and my inner cowgirl… to be responsible while hustling after my dreams… to write a successful screenplay, to produce art I’m proud of, to travel far physically and mentally.
WHAT DOES YOUR HUSTLE MEAN TO YOU: Everything. It’s what gets me moving in the morning, searching out those “Happy Trails” to create or follow.
IF YOU COULD HAVE ONLY THREE TOOLS FOR YOUR HUSTLE, WHAT WOULD THEY BE: (1) music… The Beatles, Bread, Bruce Springsteen and Ravel, (2) paint… the three primary colors, (3) photos… of my daughters for inspiration.
A WORD OF ADVICE TO WANNABE HUSTLERS IN YOUR FIELD: That’s my huge problem. I’m not in my field. I’m still galloping around it, but did go through some memorable detours along the way. Young at heart, not age. Most of you reading this are young in age, so here’s my advice: Work on your dream every day. Goals may change, distractions will come, but time passes so quickly. Imagine where you want to be, do the work, and then get there as fast as you can. Yeeee haw!!! “No retreat, baby, no surrender.” – Bruce Springsteen. “Happy Trails to You.” – Roy Rogers & Dale Evans
AUTHOR’S NOTE: Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! I love you & thank you with all my heart for everything always!
